It's been a while, so I figured I should put something up so people have something fresh to look at if they ever stumble here from the Play Store :)
I just published Paperland Live Wallpaper in the Play Store, and after being featured on the front page for about a week, it's reached around 600,000 downloads! I'm really pleased with the reception, and a lot of people seem to like it.
Now what to do next?

ReplyDeleteHow about some houses that could have their lights on at night. Different weather conditions.
ReplyDeleteWhat if I wanna buy pro version outside play store? Is that possible?
ReplyDeleteJorge, I'll be posting Paperland to www.slideme.org soon. I'll make a post here when that happens.
ReplyDeleteHi! I love your paperland live wallpaper... just though it would be nice to add a season-based theme, or other objects like rain, snow, cherry blossoms, maple leaves, etc...
ReplyDeleteRei, I'll be working on adding weather effects and live weather soon. Still cleaning up some bugs and doing some smaller user requests first.
ReplyDeletecan you add android 2.2 support please?
ReplyDeleteYes, I'll do my best to add 2.2 support soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Really looking forward to the next update!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Can you make it for windows? I would love to look at that on my home computer.
ReplyDeleteI second that it would rock having this for windows as a desktop. =)
DeleteI was actually searching if you guys had a desktop ver. Would be seriously awesome if you could manage that !
DeleteGreat live wall paper.
ReplyDeleteWould be great if some more options were added eg, more trees types, car types, boat types, houses, and as mentioned by Josh weather effects.
Looking forward to the next update! Thanks
Is there any news on the performance issues on a Galaxy Nexus device with Jelly Bean? An update would be appreciated :-)
ReplyDelete@Stephan: I've found some parts of my engine that could be more efficient for certain devices (Gnex is one), and I'm rewriting parts of it piece by piece. Unfortunately my free time is limited (twin boys and a 9-month old at home), but it will happen! I've also been working on adding rain (as a toggle) at the same time, so it will hopefully be a nice juicy update.
ReplyDeleteSweet rain and lighting would be awesome if you could include those.
DeleteGreat! Thanks! Looking forward to it
ReplyDeleteI just side loaded Paperland wallpaper onto all 3 of my Google TV's, it looks great on a big screen. You should really offer the app to the folks who own GTV's. All you would have to do is remove one line of code and your wallpaper app would be seen in Google Play for Google TV. I have screen shots available if your interested in seeing your app on a TV
ReplyDeleteI am a sucker for this art style. I bought the pro version tonight. Good job! I like the idea of adding little houses.
ReplyDeleteHi Josh, is it true that youre latest updates don't fix the lag on galaxy nexus devices? It seems that my phone still has trouble with it.

ReplyDeleteI love this, but the cars are hidden behind the program icons at the bottom of the home screen(s) on my Galaxy S III. Do you know of anyway I can fix this?
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI really like your Paperland wallpaper and I also purchased PRO.
Will there be a possibility in teh furure of random change of themes or randomization , e.g. based on daytime or any time schedule?
thanks!
Paperland is great. The Pro version was one of the first apps I bought when I got my Nexus 7. I was curious about what you used to make the graphics for it. I'm working on a project and want to create the same aesthetic, but for still images.
ReplyDeleteThanks in advance for your help!
I like this wallpaper a lot, but what I would like to see for the holidays is snowing.
ReplyDeleteJenden, I just posted a sneak peak at the upcoming Christmas update: http://jokointeractive.blogspot.com/2012/11/christmas-in-paperland-sneak-peak.html
ReplyDeleteDan, send me an email directly (joko dot interactive at gmail) and we can talk!
Wallpaper yang bagus. Kalau bisa usul, mobilnya jangan 1 macam. Jika ada 2 atau 3 macam mungkin lebih baik. Salam sukses
ReplyDeleteAny word on the lag on the 4.1 devices??you're probably busy and what not, but in my defense I did pay you for the service and I've been waiting for almost 3 months now.
ReplyDeleteHey Josh, next update will be live weather, then I'll be looking deeper into the lag issues on JB. If you're not satisfied I can offer you a refund in the meantime. Email me if you'd like to discuss further.
ReplyDeleteNah man... I'm not gonna take that away from you! The idea is super awesome and it did work at some point. Bugs happen I understand and when it is time to use again I will be delighted to re-download. Thanks for the reply btw!
Deletekamu orang indonesia?? wallpaper paperland yg berbayar boleh saya minta gratis?? saya tidak tau cara bayarnya..
ReplyDeleteHey !
ReplyDeleteWhen do you think to release the next update, with the live weather ? This is a really great live wallpaper and live weather is the only missing thing :)
Thanks for your work !
Update on the store today. Live weather available for US residents... I have to wait...
DeleteLove this wallpaper! My last favorite was Light Grid; turns out that's yours too, so I'm officially a fan! Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
What a pitty this awesome wallpaper does not run on Galaxy I Vibrant, I couldnt install it :(
ReplyDeleteI have the pro version and want to give a small suggestion. Can you include a matching static wallpaper that can be used for the lock screen?
ReplyDelete@Anon - You can make your own (Paperland Settings > Screenshot). Also, most phones which show something different on the lock screen allow you to set a live wallpaper there instead, so look in System Settings > Lockscreen for an option like that.
ReplyDeleteI installed paperland pro. But the wallpaper never reflects reality. When it's raining it's always sunny in paperland. Under paperland settings/weather show clouds, show rain, etc. are all grayed out.
ReplyDeleteI love your wallpaper. I was looking for a weather live wall paper and something to add some mild entertainment on the stationary bike.
ReplyDeleteI'm an artist and very visually sensitive and this app is super easy on my eyes. The weather doesn't always match but I think that's because AccuWeather just doesn't pay attention to some countries. I live in a major major city on my continent and they just never have the current weather correct.
If you would add mist and some kind of something that shows the actual temperature (like a sign or a weather balloon floating by) I would be sold forever.
Great and that i have a keen offer: How Often Renovate House home renovation companies near me
