Global Weather Beta Test
I've been working hard on finding a reliable global weather provider, and I've finally found one. AccuWeather and Joko Interactive are partnering up to bring local live weather to Paperland!
I'm opening up our beta test to the public, so anyone can help beta test the new global live weather features in Paperland. In order to get beta updates from the Play Store, you need to join our Paperland Testers Google+ community here. Make sure you join using the same Google account that you want to test the app with.
Once you're a part of the community, you need to follow this link to become an actual tester in the Play Store: Beta Request Link

The beta test still has some kinks to work out, but soon we will be rolling this update out to every Paperland user at no extra charge. Thanks for all the support!

Weather Update and Building Progress
[UPDATE] Global live weather is now in public beta test: http://jokointeractive.blogspot.com/2013/06/global-weather-beta-test.html
I've been getting a lot of questions about how global live weather is coming along. I'm sorry it's taking so long, and am pleased to say that I've found a provider and will be integrating shortly. If all goes as planned, all regions (including US) will have hourly, local weather updates at no extra charge. I'm just waiting for the provider to give me access to their service and actual integration should take very little time.
Since I haven't been able to actually code anything weather-related while waiting, I've been working on adding some buildings to Paperland. I've still got some work to do on them, but here's a sneak peak:
Thanks to everyone for being so patient!

Live Weather Status Update
Live Weather for Paperland hasn't gone as smoothly as I would have liked.
[UPDATE] Global live weather is now in public beta test: http://jokointeractive.blogspot.com/2013/06/global-weather-beta-test.html
A few weeks ago I released the update to users in the United States, which uses the NOAA public feed for weather. There are some improvements I'd like to make for those users, but I'm happy with how that's going.
After much more investigation, I settled on a weather provider for non-US users, and a few days after I released that update, they shut me down due to the high volume of traffic. This cutoff happened much quicker than anticipated, and to make matters worse, I have been unable to get a hold of anyone from the company to fix the issue.
I've decided to search for another global weather provider instead of dealing with this poor technical and customer support. I intend to have an updated version of Live Weather for non-US users in a week or two. I appreciate your patience and support, and hope you all will keep using Paperland until you have a chance to try out this feature as well.
As always, you can contact me at joko.interactive@gmail.com if you have any more questions.
Thanks,
Josh
